This winter hasn't been marked with abundant snow or perpetual cold. It's mild, with cold snaps flitting in and out of the thermometers. The sunlight has been my favorite thing; it ranges from dim to blazing, and it always looks - but not always feels - filtered by the chilly air. Although the solstice has passed, I think of these days as the thick of winter. And I really, really love them. ♥
